Kimble, McDonald Earn Weekly Honors

ASHEVILLE – Owen’s Emily Kimble and Roberson’s Megan McDonald were named the WNCPrepTrack.com Female Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the website announced Monday. Kimble won the high jump twice last week at the WNC Polar Bear Championships and KTC Indoor Classic, while McDonald had a record-setting day winning three events at the Roberson Polar Bear.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
Megan McDonald, TC Roberson (Sr. – Sprints/Hurdles)
- First Career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Honor
- Won three events at the Roberson Polar Bear #2
- Recorded new personal bests in the 55m (7.2 ), 500 ( 1:18.70), 55mH (8.4)
- Ranks No. 1 in WNC in the 55m and 55mH
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: 
Emily Kimble, Owen (Sr. – High Jump)
- Second Career Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Honor
- Won the WNC Polar Bear Championships and KTC Indoor Classic
- Equaled her personal best of 5’6″
- Ranks No.1 in WNC
