Boone, Pressley Earn First Career Honors

ASHEVILLE – Mitchell’s Zach Boone and North Buncombe’s Logan Pressley were named the WNCPrepTrack.com Male Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the website announced Monday. The pair came away victorious in their respective events at the Asheville Polar Bear  #2.  Boone won the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 40.30 seconds, while Pressley won the shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 8 inches.

• First Career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Honor
• First at the Asheville Polar Bear #2
• Recorded a new personal best of 4:40.30
• Ranks No. 3 in WNC in the 3200m ( 10:17.70)

Logan Pressley, North Buncombe (Sr. – Shot Put)

• First Career Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Honor
• First at the Asheville Polar Bear #2
• Undefeated this season in WNC competition
